Be sure to walk all the way to the back to see spring water falling as waterfalls from the hill behind. I went to 4 onsens while in Kinosaki and found the outdoor bath here to be the best. Despite the largest size of all 7, many people will go there and it could get crowded, so you might want... More

Enjoyed this onsen alot. Space was good. The indoor onsen was a rather big and comfortable, there is also a granite water bench which was a lovely touch. The outdoor waterfall onsen was great. Lovely, especially during a cold winter night. Steam sauna available also available.

Was there for a day trip and only had time to visit one onsen. Decided on Goshonoyu Bath after reading reviews of the different onsens. It is the only onsen with an outdoor waterfall view. Perfect for winter.

We liked this onsen the most among the public ones we visited. It was close to our ryokan (nishimuraya honkan) and had a large appealing facade. The baths are large for Kinosaki and the dressing area is also well-sized, although you may need to be patient in getting to your locker during peak hours! There is a generously-sized rotenburo facing... More

If you only visit one onsen in Kinosaki, make it Goshono. You can tell straight away from the outside that this bath is special, the building, with it’s water lily filled pond in front, is strikingly beautiful. The baths themselves live up to the outside, with a number of great spaces. There’s a spacious indoor pool with powerful jets to... More

The brochure said this is the Bath of Beauty. A nice onsen with a great outdoor bath with faces the hillside in the back of the onsen. It features a waterfall, cascading over large boulders, feeding water to the outdoor bath. Very scenic. They open at 7 a.m. They are closed 1st and 3rd Thursdays.

This is to me considered one of the best two of the seven onsens in Kinosaki. It is located in the heart of the town. The building is right at the foot of the hill so you can enjoy the view of the cascade through the high glass ceiling - outdoor bath and steam room are also very nice when... More
