A stunningly beautiful royal mosque of Kuala Kangsar with its distinctive onion shaped domes. Walk around the perimeter of the mosque to take in its beauty. Worth a visit as part of the royal heritage trail. Just outside the gate of the mosque to admire two old wooden buildings with a royal history. This is a popular attraction with Locals... More

This is arguably the most beautiful mosque in Malaysia. The architecture is simply awe-inspiring with its golden domes and minarets, so it's worth stopping by Kuala Kangsar just to see this particular mosque while driving along the North-South Expressway. The surroundings are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of carpark spaces around. You can also opt to go inside the mosque,... More

The historical mosque like Ubudiah and nearby royal museum (formerly mausoleum ) are worth the pitstop. For those less familiar with conservative Malaysia, you need to dress conservatively to enter, most if not all places of worship in Malaysia out of respect for religious and cultural reasons. definitely no shorts or singlets /tank tops for men/woman or low cut dresses... This more than 100 years old Mosque is without a doubt one of the, if no the most beautiful Mosque in Malaysia. It's located just outside the city center. It's not always possible to enter the Mosque but even the outside of the Mosque and the location are worth exploring.

Nice place to visit & people have the opportunity to step in & see the details of the architecture..This place also near to the museum of sultan Azlan about 200m from there..So tourist can visit both places once they come to Kuala kangsar.

This very beautiful mosque stands on Bukit Chandan. It was built by the 28th Sultan of Perak, Sultan Idris Shah, in 1911 and designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, the British architect who also designed the Ipoh Railway Station. Completed in 1917, this mosque has Moghul and Indo-Saracenic architecture. The golden domes with black and white minarets rise above a white... More
