located near Aljezur, this location is natural and as yet unspoilt sandy beach. When arrived there you could hardly see people around. It was a fabulous place all to ourselves. It is apparently very popular with surfers. There are no shops so you will have to bring your own things with you. The only toilet available is at the restaurant... More

Beautiful beach situated near the village of Aljezur. On this beach we can take baths in the sea and in the river that drains in it. It has an extensive sand and dunes. Enjoy the detail of the black rock at the northern top of the beach reminiscent of a giant lying down. The narrow road to the beach, along... More

This beach stretches for a long way, you can walk and walk and walk. There is also a part where a river comes into the ocean.

This beach has a huge expanse of sand and great surf. A lovely river runs into the sea here and it is great to float and and drift down to the sea, a natural lazy river!

I have been there twice, cycling from Aljezur and just loved the mix of river setting and surfers beach. Not a good place to swim because of riptides and strong currents but the river setting is really cool and the dunes and the restaurant add to a perfect chill out setting that is quite charming. Also, the mix of young... More

Lovely beach with a more secluded shallow lagoon at one end. Good beach for families and couples. It's a long windy road to get there but persevere, it's will worth it!

This beach can get a bit busy, but then it has a huge swathe of golden sand a blue sea and rockpools as well as a large beach side restaurant - what is not to like.
