A really interesting visit to the birthplace of aviation in Japan.

They have a great collection of static aircraft here with many hands on displays. Good value for money on the entry tickets and lots of stuff for kids too. Many of the displays... read more

They have a great collection of static aircraft here with many hands on displays. Good value for money on the entry tickets and lots of stuff for kids too. Many of the displays only have Japanese printed information so take a translator if you are an English only reading aircraft enthusiast. There is a carpark with free parking under 2... More

If you are interested in aviation and visiting Tokyo then you simply must visit this museum! A great collection of aircraft are on display and historically this is a place of great significance to Japanese aviation as their first powered flight took place here in 1911 and the runway area has been preserved. It is fairly easy to get too... More

It´s a very nice park and surrounded by aircraft of the near museum on display. Also you have Tokyo ACC (Area control center) facility nearby. For aviation enthusiasts is the best place for a picnic and especially during the Hanami season. Also if your partner is an avid enthusiast of aviation, this makes the perfect date!

My husband particularly enjoyed our visit here. A good mix of different aeroplanes and helicopters, in a well-lit building with multi-level viewing areas. Some of the aircraft are open for inspection, and a lot of the displays were set up specifically for kids. Overall, an interesting museum, but unfortunately much of the information was in Japanese only. The museum shop... More

Tokorozawa is the birthplace of aviation in Japan, and the aviation museum at Koku Koen is a great place to visit if you are into planes and helicopters. It has some good examples of historic Japanese aircraft, some of which can be explored from the inside too. When I went, they also had an IMAX exhibit that covered Japan's role... More

Overall, this is a nice place to go for the day near Yokota and Fussa. They have many airplanes and helicopters to view with a few that you can sit in or walk around. They also have a few things for kids to do like the gravity walker, flight simulator, mission control and art room. They also have an IMAX... More
