One of the highlights of our trip was riding on this small 6 car manually operated turntable ferry from Skye to Glenelg on the mainland. Not only was the short crossing a hit, but the views on the drive from Breakish on Skye to Kylerhea...More

This is a small, turntable ferry. It holds 4–6 cars at a time and is quite small. The ferry loads, and then it turns so that you never have to reverse off the ferry—keep in mind that a person actually turns it. It's a wonder...More

We planned our route specially so we could use the ferry from Kyle Rhea to Glenelg. It was well worth it. Staff very friendly and an excellent opportunity to travel on a unique vessel over an interesting stretch of water.

We drove through Skye to reach the ferry. A lovely experience, we even saw seals bobbing along. Staff very friendly, the ferry is quirky and well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

We paid 15 pounds for each Crossing. I believe a return ticket is 25 pounds. I know I made a typo when I wrote my review, I think I said 150 pounds! And I couldn't figure out how to correct that error. But for the vehicle... More

It is difficult to predict how busy the ferry will be. However, if you have to wait for the ferry going over and back again, you will have a great view over the narrows and refreshments are avaiable in the lighthouse. It is... More
