A nice and clean beach with a lot of space. A good place for families. More windsurfers than swimmers in may however. Some scarry birds of pray is trying to steal food and can be pretty aggressive. A good toilet, but no place for changing.

There was a time when small coffee shops a/k/a kiisatens were found all over Japan. Now they are few and far between, but, we found this one sitting on the beach. The coffee was flavorful and aromatic and the coffee jello was off the charts.

If you haven't been there, or you aren't that much sure how to get there from the station, you might want to ask someone how to reach the beach from the station. But feel free to ask someone around you since they are all nice...More

Zushi beach is about a ten minute walk from JR Zushi train station. It's a nice beach with a beautiful view of Enoshima Island and Mt Fuji on a clear day. In the summer they build many bars on the beach and there is a...More

In spring this beach was populated with laughing kids and sun. It was a relaxing place to read, swim or play games. I was lucky enough to catch the Zushi Film festival which was brillant with burger/beer/wine stalls, cloth stalls and a skateboarding tube. I...More

Zushi Beach is a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. Located just a short walk from either one of two train stations, its large clean shores are kept that way by locals and tourists alike. During the summer, local-run beach houses...More

Very nice Japanese beach. It is quiet and nice for a 30-minute walk. There are no coffee shops here.

This is a good beach, but can get very crowded in the summers. On clear days you can enjoy views of Enoshima Island and Fujisan. Great flat beach for walking and water sports. Lots of windsurfers and some paddle boards.

Not sure I am answering the question correctly; but Hase beach is different beach from Zushi beach. On the beachside of Zushi beach, we have number of shops that provide SUP rentals.

Many years ago, 1970-72, I worked in Tokyo and we rented a beach cottage at Zushi for a couple of years. Judging from Google Earth, the cottage is no longer there, and there has been tremendous development in the area. I am more curious about nearby Osaki Park. I remember my family climbing up the hill to visit there; and I have the recollection that it was some sort of U>S> Navy facility, or residence area, at that time. Am I correct in that recollection (any old timers out there?)

No military connections anymore (I've lived there for 10+ years). Residences mainly, higher end of the buyer's market.
