Enoshima is a magical island, easily accessed from Tokyo by train (you can use your suica card). A short walk across the bridge from the station takes you to this enchanted island - it used to be the home of a Dragon after all. The narrow winding streets take you on a climb to the shrines that stand proudly atop... More

The first thing you notice is the traditional entrance to the train station, than the bridge linking the island to the mainland and than the hawks. They fly really low above the visitors' heads and are very impressive. The hilly street is full of shops and stalls offering strange and interesting dishes like octapus crackers and tiny fish crackers, wasabi... More

The approach to the Enoshima Shrine was very crowded. You can purchase combined tickets for escalators to the top and the Sea Candle for 750 JPY. A magnificent view of Mt. Fuji on a clear sunny winter day from Enoshima.

It s quite convenience to go, if to take Odakyu line from Shinjuku, only cost 630 yen. The island is just perfect for one day round trip from city center. Even if you cant see fujisan on cloudy day, still worth going . The sunset is breath taking

If you plan Kamakura tour in 1 day, you should go there. about 90 min. from Tokyo. you can walk 600 m. to Enoshima island. There have good seaweed and some seafood dry. If you lucky you can see Fuji mountain from here.

It take around 1 hours to enoshima, the view here is beautiful. You can sitting next to the Pacific ocean and try the small fresh fish. If you plan the have round island trail then you should prepare to walk through lots of steps.

Enoshima island is one of my favourite places in Japan. The long walk around isn't long for people who take regular walks. There are a number of Shinto Shrines in the island and I got to offer my respect to all of them. Nature is well preserved in Enoshima and because of it's topography and man-made structures, I had a... More

It's not a big island. You can walk around the island within half day. You can choose to walk or use escalator ( charge ) They have the pass for the escalator too. On the right of the bridge when you face to the island you can see Mt. Fuji too if the sky is clear.
