I have visited the German village once with a tour and once with my family. It's a great place to getaway from cramped Tokyo for the day with the family and enjoy some open space, greenery and nice views. I especially was happy with the price per carload for entry fee rather than the price per person. There is a... More

The village is huge with lots of open green space. There is also a putter golf course where kids and adults can enjoy. The Marktplatz (market place) offers delicious German sausages and beer as well as sweets.

From Tokyo statiom, it was around 1hour and 30minutes. The bus from Sodegaura station costs 500 yen. There are buses going to German village every 30 minutes. We arrived there at around 3:00 pm, so the entrance was a bit discounted (it was 500yen I think). Since it's already winter, it was very cold. The place itself is more of... More

It was on TokyoWalker's list of the top ten winter illumination spots in the Kantō area, but getting there was something else. We passed on the all-day bus tours via Kamogawa Sea World on the far side of the Bōsō Peninsula and settled for one half the price: via the Mitsui Outlets in just on the other end of the... More

This place is super cool. Lots of pretty lights and different areas to visit. Costed 2000 yen for my girlfriend and I to enter including parking. I recommend if you want to visit this place, rent a car and do a two day trip around Chiba and visit this place at night time. If you can't rent a car it... More

Pretty lights? Sure. Walking trails? Plenty of it. German theme? Barely. Not even one sign in German. Music played on outside speakers was in English. Some of the buildings structures was resembling old German architecture, but it was poorly made. If you never been to Germany, this might do for you. If got visited Deutschland at least once before, you... More
