First thing. If it's busy buy the rope way tickets before joining the queue for the cable car. Nicest way to get here is on the ferry. Nice trip

A nice day trip from Tokyo/Yokohama (via ferry). Can get crowded on weekends but not too badly so. 2 great Buddhas and nice grounds and the 'ropeway' is fun. Highly recommended. A bit of a hidden gem.

The walk at the top will easily take up another 1.5 hours .... to enjoy stone-wall cravings, garden.... from the Edo period. Sneaker shoe is recommended. View is best in winter season, apparently ..... on a clear day, can spot Mt Fuji also.
