The ropeway station is located about a 10 minute walk from Hamakanaya Station (head out of the station and go straight until you see the main road by the water, turn left and walk until you see the large ropeway billboard and bear left).

The rope-way was a nice, quick, inexpensive ride to the top with stunning views. When purchasing my ticket the woman asked if I'd like one-way or round trip. I told her I'd like to ride up and walk down, to which she replied "190 minutes."...More
The walk at the top will easily take up another 1.5 hours .... to enjoy stone-wall cravings, garden.... from the Edo period. Sneaker shoe is recommended. View is best in winter season, apparently ..... on a clear day, can spot Mt Fuji also.
