There's a beautiful Japanese garden, an huge ancient, well cared for temple, a Sakura forest , a beautiful park, and finally a Danish flower garden.

A weekend trip by car took me to Akebonoyama Park. Set amidst the heart of the Kashiwa city this park is beautiful in every season. I visited both during tulips and poppy with frens and family. The office staff were very helpful when I called asking what flower available during the month.I love both the garden and the serene quiet little town of Kashiwa.

If you are feeling adventurous and need some change from all the traditional Japanese gardens, hanami parties, etc. - Akebonoyama Park's tulip garden is something worth seeing, especially during the Tulip Festival (makes things a bit livelier). There's not much more there to see for a tourist, apart from a nice temple, but it is nice if you want to... More
