Wedding in Former Monastery
Sep 2019
We stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding in the former monastery and got to peak inside the church there. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful; we would love to stay again if we were in the area.

Unbelievable
Sep 2019 • Couples
We stayed here on a walking trip and approached the abbey just as a travelers did - one step at a time and it is an image I hope I never forget.

This is a restored 8th century abbey. Primarily it is a wedding venue but it also accepts regular guests. We arrived on Thursday and the silence was refreshing so if that’s what you seek come during the week. There was a wedding scheduled for Saturday and by Friday the guests started to arrive and the atmosphere chafed a bit.

Beautiful abbey

The frescoes inside are beautiful. One senses being in a medieval church and not a museum. Beautiful grounds. Well worth a visit.

Our Wedding
Sep 2018 • Couples
After much searching in Italy for the perfect wedding Venue we found Abbazia, we were so happy that it wasn't one of the many venues that insists on a 3 or 4 day hire. But the best part is just how stunning and beautiful the place is, a haven of Tranquillity and serenity.
For a wedding venue like this the cost is also exceptionally good value and all our guests were so amazed by it.
Federica and Chiara are just wonderful, they were so helpful and understanding, really positive about our requests.
They were always there when we needed them and quick to answer our many emails as we organised our special day.
We have also stayed in Abbazia as guests to plan our wedding, we found it to be a perfect spot for unwinding and exploring the local area. Whatever it is you are planning in the area then there is no other place to stay, if you want to have the most beautiful venue for your wedding then stop looking and book Abbazia, you will love it.

Remote little abby
Mar 2016 • Couples
While staying in a rental in nearby Machialunga, we drove around Umbria, found this little church. Quite interesting. Beautiful setting in mountainous Ferentillo. We did not visist the restaurant, but enjoyed the scene.

Beautiful!

My husband and I walked here from the city of Ferentillo, which was a beautiful walk. It's a beautiful abby, and the hotel attached was also very nice to wander through as well.

8th century Abbey
Oct 2016 • Couples
Final two nights of our walking holiday in Umbria. Beautiful former Abbey with rich history, now a family run hotel of great charm. Remote but perfect setting, so peaceful. We received a very gracious reception with a very welcome pot of restorative tea (after a 17 km walk). The food in the restaurant, Hora Media, was also excellent.

Worth a slow visit

The Abbazia is outstanding. It is located in a very pristine valley, the Valnerina, and it transmits a sense of peace difficult to capture by words.

Lovely location, super people!

We felt really lucky to find this special place. It's full of history in a wonderful setting. Our room had a spectacular view across the valley, had a separate seating area and so felt like a mini- suite. The night we arrived there was a Vivaldi concert in the old cloister, really atmospheric. Good breakfast, friendly people. Amazing Abbey church frescos next door.
