Amazing and relaxing view. It was worth the effort an almost one hour walking down the mountain. When you are sweaty after walking down the mountain, just jump on the water and get freshen up.

The track from the main parking space was at our time officially closed from the government but it seems to be like this since some years already. Anyway as some obviously intentionally placed boxes helped us to climb the gate and people came up the...More

Although it is fairly crowded in Summer the Cavagrande is an amazing experience. As the walk to reach the water-point is relatively long (but really beautiful and worth it) I recommend you bring a picnic so you can enjoy a couple of hours of swimming,...More

Spectacular views, deep canyon, good parking and relatively accessible by car. Worth a trip, easy to combine with Noto, Noto Antica, Palazollo Acreide and the coast.

We rode up to the reserve from Avola, hoping to hike down to the lakes. Unfortunately, there had been a landslide and the trekks were closed, but the drive from Avola is stunning, and the views were amazing nonetheless.

This is a stunningly beautiful and impressive spectacle of nature that we enjoyed 41 years ago when we were fitter. But it was worth returning. Dramatic scenery that you won't ever forget

The climb down to the bottom of the gorge was by a stony narrow path but the reward is a series of refreshing pools to have a dip in.The climb back up is a bit tortuous but there's cool drinks and snacks to be had...More

This place is worth spending at least half a day. You will have to descend almost 300m over a 2 km long very rough path of which 1/5 consists out of rather slippery ‘stairs’ covered with rocks and pebbles. It takes about 40 minutes to...More
