As a piece of architecture, there is nothing to see here. Any trace of the original structure is buried under a cheap and cheerful mall that runs from one end of the bridge to the other. On the plus side, there are nice views, so make sure you walk across on the outside .

This is definitely the landmark of Ya'an. If you are into running I would reckon running through the 3 bridges along the river and this is one of them. Sufficient to run a 21k. Total going 2-3 rounds on the 3 bridges by the river.

Always under construction, the Yazhou Gallery Bridge has a covered walkway with several high end shops to entertain your curiosities. Coffee shops, restaurants, tea shops, hand bags, leather goods, wood carvings, and a bathroom should give you something to do. You only need about 20-30 minutes to check everything out.

This is an attraction that you must see only if you happen to be in the area, inside it has shops from bakeries to clothing to tea and more. The outside was what appealed to me most because it was beautiful, inside it is very modern.

Well this is how it started life and we have photos of my lovely Yaan Girl wife swimming in the river with this behind. They widened it then built the buildings in the ancient style on top. If you look closely you can see the concrete construction which is done extremly well! We as a family have crossed it many... More

We were dropped off by taxi next to this bridge and walked across it to get into Ya'an city centre. It is truly one of a kind and a very pretty sight. Sadly it was under construction during my visit, but it's still worth walking across. The view of Ya'an from the bridge is great and you can see the... More

The Yazhou Bridge is quite a focal point that connects North and South Ya'an. It is currently undergoing an extreme makeover so you cannot walk through. When not under construction it is worth a visit. If my Chinese is correct, it looks like it will be finished by the summer of 2015.

We had a beautiful view on this bridge directly from our hotel room (Ibis). There are small shops inside, usually selling tea or some panda souveniers.

This covered bridge is colorful and especially during night time is lit with beautiful lights. The ibis hotel is right beside it.
