A well presented historical attraction. The walk up from the car park isn't terribly arduous and the signposted walk around the castle is educational and enjoyable. There are some great views over the nearby town of Murol from the battlements. This is well worth a visit if you're in the area.

We passed this on the way into our campsite in Jassat and it looked very impressive. We decided to visit late morning and glad we did as we got to see the live show which although was all in French was very funny and Anglaise was mentioned a few times. Turns out it was the anniversary of the 100 year... More

Lots of actors give animated talks/shows that will keep children and adults happy for about three hours. (All in French).

This chateau has fantastic views, but beware , there is a STEEP climb to reach it!. Toilets are only available at the bottom of the hill, so if travelling with children you need to be aware of this. The climb is not suitable for a push chair or pram. There is a bench to rest at half way up -... More

Seriously stunning views and rocking toilets (joke - go before you get up to the chateau as the toilets inside would require a lot of courage!). The English translation is a little tricky to follow but even for the views alone this castle is worth the visit. Loved it even in winter :-)

You can see this chateau from the surrounding area as it really dominates the landscape, and it's definitely worth the trip to see around it. It's pretty interactive with people walking around and working in period costumes. The birds of prey show and the knights show are very visual so plenty to keep the kids occupied. Everything is in French,... More

Don't miss a visit to this lovely Chateau. Be sure to watch the Knights and horses play. Actors are very animated and funny. Take in the aviary demonstration. Some words of advice: Steep walk from parking lot. Bring your own food if you plan to eat. No restaurant on site. Drinks and Popsicles available only. Limited protection from shade on... More

Great day or half-day out. Don't be tempted to walk up from the town - go up to the car park and then walk!

The chateau itself is really quite impressive and not at all expensive. What made it really special was the guided tour. Three guides, of about an hour and a half in duration. One was a soldier, giving information on how to defend the chateau and the types of arms used. One talked about the birds of prey used during the... More
