Had a great 3 hour ride with Chava. Stable area is rustic though the horses appeared healthy- well nourished, no open sores, shiny coats, bright eyes. They stayed calm when we passed the barking dogs, kept the leisurely pace easily and actually tried to trot a few times on level ground. It's an hour ride along mostly twisty gravel roads,... More

Called Miss Vicki @10AM and she booked us 12 horses for 2PM @ $35 each. Fine looking horses matched to riders skill. Three men were over 100kg and had appropriate sized steeds. Two pre teens had smalls. Tack was re-adjusted properly and in great condition. Stirrups were actually big enough for my fat feet which is rare. Leisurely 1 hour... More

While out for a drive south of our resort, we ran into a sign that said horse back riding.. pulled over and found Rancho Manolo. My bf had already read reviews on it but we didn't realize we had found it. Everything was great. We scheduled our ride for 10am the next day and got a great deal on a... More

This was our third visit to Rancho Manolo and it was more fun than I remember. For $30 - $40US you can take a three-hour ride (longer if it is not busy). You pass along the outskirts of the town of Mismaloya and through the jungle to a hidden oasis (El Eden) where the “Predator” movie was filmed. There is... More

Six of us, one horse with trembling legs halfway up the hill, one with both back legs bleeding after a quarter of a mile, 2 of the saddle stirrups broke in the way back, and tried to buck my fifteen year old. Some wild, some sick and some just plain lame animals. 3 of us had to walk back for... More

We booked this tour through the timeshare guy (Pauncho) in the Mega. He gave us a great deal without taking any tours. We took a cab from the Sheraton down to Mislamoya (right next to Hotel Barcelo). The guide met us there and we walked 2 mins down the road to the horses. Good looking horses! This was my first... More

My partner and I were looking for something off the beaten path in or near Puerto Vallarta. We came across Rancho Manolo on Trip Adviser and were interested in the activity. Both of us had never had any experience with horse back riding but that was not an issue. Our guide, Vidal, was very patient and helpful. He spoke little... More

If you're in the Puerto Vallarta area and have time to do something different and are inclined to do horseback riding I can personally recommend Rancho Manolo and Chava also known as Salvador. They were easy to get a hold of using the number on trip advisor. Victor was easy to talk to on the phone and make reservations with.... More

My wife and I went horseback riding to El Eden with this wonderful company. Chava was such a kind and knowledgeable guide. Lola was our 4 legged protector the entire time. The horses were healthy and well trained. A taste of real Mexico and a fun and safe way to get into the jungle! We highly recommend this. Right off... More

I like to go to different towns around Puerto Vallarta, (I hate just laying around the pool or beach, I like to go places and see things) so after looking on the internet, I discovered, Mismaloya, then I typed in sightseeing onto trip advisor, one of the things listed was Rancho Manolo's, and after reading those reviews, told my husband...
