Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another gem of an experience, this exhibit is somewhat different than dialog in the dark, which was amazing in it's own. This exhibit helps you to understand what it is like living without hearing. A completely different set of rules, and you learn to use facial expressions and gestures to convey your thoughts and read someone else's.
I suggest doing both Invitation to Silence and Dialog in the dark together as they are in the same place. Slots are limited, so advance booking is required.

We went to the deaf museum -- invitation to silence. I had been told that the "blind museum" was better. I have done both. i thought the "Invitation to Silence" was excellent. Our group of 4 really enjoyed it. We did benefit from a terrific guide, Edna. I thought it was worth the time. I think both exhibits are excellent!

Having been on the Dialogue in the Dark, we wanted to experience this tour as well. We were not disappointed. Participants are given sound-proof ear protectors and asked not to use their vocal cords during the tour. All communication was visual, and we shared a 2 hour experienced of what it was like to live in silence without the ability to communicate through sound. Highly recommended.

Come to feel deafness. A deaf guide walks you through communications in a tour that eliminates sound.
I must be a minority, but I don’t think this helps anyone better understand deafness. It trivializes the condition and makes it almost into a game.

We did this tour, with our kids (13 and 11), and all found the experience really interesting. It's a great way for kids to learn about what it's like to be deaf.

We were with our children 9 and 14
Years. The visit was very educational and was great experience how blind people are acting on their day to day tasks, it gave a great impact on us to be one hour on the dark without seeing anything.

We were there with a group of friend after being told by so many others that it is a must see and especially felt experience.
And after having been there I must admit that I concur.
To be in total darkness is not your everyday entertainment, and to be on the other side might just help develop your empathy and more important your children's
I believe each and everyone of us should be there at least one time.

This is part of the Children's Museum complex in Holon. The Invitation to Silence was interesting but the exhibit on Blindness was much better. Silence gives you an idea of the hardship of those who are deaf, as you wear earphones that cut out most of the sounds around you. The Blindness exhibit is totally in the ptich black, and that gives you an excellent idea of the challengers faced by those who are blind.

I plan on a trip at the beginning of July. How far in advance should I book tickets?

These experiences do not sell out as quickly as the Darkness tours, but they can fill up. I would make reservations as soon as you know the days you'll be in the area.

I don't recall exactly but it's a guided tour/experience, no one goes without a booking. I think it was an hour, definitely not more. Fantastic experience.
