We visited this historical castle late in the day and unfortunately didn't get to go in as it was past the last tour. Still enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the Scottish rabbits hoping around. The castle is having some repair done to it so...More

I mean, what is there to say about Doune Castle except 'mind your own business'? If you love the Holy Grail, especially if you can quote the entire movie from start to finish, then a stop at Doune is mandatory. There is a great audio...More

Well done audio your by Terry Jones of Monty Python. Both educational and entertaining. Nice gift selection that included Monty Python selections as well as Outlander etc.

This is one of the smaller castles that we visited on our trip to England and Scotland, but it had one of my favorite audio guides. The guide is narrated by Monty Python with some other sections narrated by Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser on Outlander)....More

A couple of hours is plenty of time. It’s not very large, but well worth the visit.

No dogs are allowed in the castle but they are allowed within the castle grounds on a lead. Various walks in the grounds & it is a beautiful setting. Free to park (limited and busy car park however)
