3 stars is appropriate - the color is quite nice and makes for some nice photo opportunities. It is also overlooking the ocean which is beautiful. However, it is very crowded and LOTS of trash around - this is quite unfortunate and Fairy Stream had the same problem. Come here if you are in Mui Ne - it is quite... More

Just rent a scooter (cheap in Vietnam)) and drive to see a beatiful sunset. Don bother to send a sand slide. The dunes are not that big, that you enjoy that. They should take better care of the place. Too much trash. There is no entry fee for this public place, may thats why nobody cleans the area. Best time... More

We visited the red dunes as our second stop of our morning sunrise tour. They are much like the white dunes but not nearly as impressive. They are worth a look if you are in Mui Ne and sure you can get some photos that look as if you are a thousand miles out in the desert away from civilization.

Lot of tourists and lot of trash anywhere. You would make better to go to white dunes - but they are several kilometres away.

There is not a lot to see and do in Mui Ne and this is ok to go to. It's free and breaks up the routine of beach and eating. Nothing that special...if you have seen big dunes before. Don't get excited about sledding down them.....not really much there.

This place is worth a try with nice view. From there you may see the see and sands around. Good for taking photos

You can photo from the road or walk up the one large dune. Many children trying to slide down the dune on plastic sliders. It's a quick roadside stop.

It was hot and the sky is blue when we went to see the dunes. It's the perfect weather and it felt like we were walking in a desert. It wasn't as big as the white sand dunes but it's still nice to see. Trash is everywhere so we have to walk further where it's clean.

Even there is a lot of trash in the dunes they are still pretty amazing to see. It is smaller than the white sand dunes and could be bad to visit when all the tour groups are there. The cheapest way to get here would be to rent a motorbike, you can park at the local restaurants and just buying... More

I came here directly after the white sand dunes and was perhaps a little underwhelmed, this is the spot if you want to go for a slide down the dunes (which is very fun!) they are smaller and more popular with the locals as it is closer to town. A beautiful spot with a lot of potential.
