Compared to the white dunes, this place was just a complete let down. Not peaceful at all, or nearly as impressive in size. The sand is FULL of litter and people - walking or trying to sell you pieces of board to slide down on or food/drink - it's annoying to say the least and we left there as soon... More

Very impressive sand dunes. Great photo opportunities particularly at sunrise and sunset. Inspect the dune size for yourself before purchasing a sand board for hire at the base from the locals. These dunes aren't as big as the white ones and IMO aren't great for sand boarding.

We visited in early January with our 3 years old son and had a lot of fun "sledging"the sand dunes. There are many kids who rent you "the sledge"that is really piece of plastic sheet...they use soap or wax on the bottom part so you go faster. We enjoyed our afternoon there and then watched the sunset.

While we were in our jeep, 2 girls approached us with their slides and got me and my Friend to join them. Brought us to a far corner (away from the crowd) and tried to get us on the slides for 50,000 dong each. By then, a group of other kids mostly boys joined and coax us into playing the... More

We did this as part of a tour and it was easily the best part of the tour. The sunset was great over the sand dunes. It was lovely to relax and chat to friends as the sun set. When we arrived local children tried to sell us their sand boards to go down the dunes. After we said no... More

We hired some slides for the kids to go into the dunes but it was very hot and the slides went quite slow. So I would not recommend it.
