About
Welcome to the Lagoon Activity Centre, Rosscarbery. A place where you can relax, feel free and take in the breathtaking serenity and beauty of West Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way. At the Lagoon Activity Centre you will be able to take on our inflatable water park, rent a kayak, take the kids pedal boating, try your hand at stand up paddle boarding (SUP) or for the less adventurous, simply relax on our over water deck or in the garden and enjoy some fresh coffee and food in our garden cafe.

We had a blast on Kayaks and SUP. It's a safe water experience and if u fall out at any stage, the water depth is so shallow, u never feel overwhelmed. Staff also very friendly and helpful

Good ole bit of fun truth be told. My kids went crazy for this and that's the bottom line. Lifeguards were pretty alert which is good to see always. Area is pretty safe and easy to access. All round positive experience.

Such a great day, kids has a fab time. Jacks shack had great food and great value for money. We’ll definitely be back 😎😎. Kids slept all night long after all the running around

My son and I availed of two of the autism friendly sessions on the floating waterpark. He absolutely loved it,and I enjoyed myself too. The staff were very helpful and understanding. It was a great way for him to experience one of his favourite activities without huge numbers and the stress that can come with that. He could take as long as he wanted or needed to,so enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you.

Had our annual visit to the lagoon as as usual we had a ball. Welcome addition this year is jacks shack serving food now until late. We did the waterpark and pedal boats although the weather was dull we had a fantastic day. Exceptionally Clean, very helpful staff, great value for money and the food was fantastic. We had pizzas, chicken wings and definitely the best hot chicken burger I have had. Well done lagoon and staff. Highly recommend a great family day out.

Today we celebrated my daughters birthday with her friends. It was a wonderful day. The staff were friendly and warm from the moment we got there. The waterpark had 2 lifeguards. The children had a ball on it. After they had pizza which was delicious and Theresa's lovely music playing which gave it a happy vibe! Thank you to all the staff. It was a very happy day!

Fun facilities and a lovely relaxed atmosphere at the centre. Very friendly staff at the centre base. Aqua park was fun but very daunting. Be prepared for essentially a slippery bouncy castle. Those in charge of the Aquapark we very unhelpful, bordering on rude. Myself and others were the ones pulling the dingy closer to the inflatable to help people on and off while they looked on. No positive interaction, just looked constantly bored by our existence and us possibly being in need of a hand. Nothing to wipe the very many cuts I witnessed on the way back. Those on shore were very helpful. Please remember that it is all of our first time on a wobbly, slippery inflatable in deep water that most of us are only on to keep out children happy. Our old bodies ache. It costs nothing to give us a fake smile and a hand onto wobbly polyethylene. In fact, it would go a really long way. You catch more flies with honey then with vinegar. Still had a great time though!

My family attended Rosscarbery lagoon aquapark today and had nothing short of a terrible experience. Upon checking in at the front desk it was obvious from looking around that the place was ran by teenagers who had absolutely no interest in being there. The safety talk if one could credit it with that title was very brief and rushed and there were no safety checks of life jackets. My husband and children went onto the aquapark and I viewed the activity from the bridge. There was one member of staff on the aquapark who spent his time on his mobile phone with no consideration for the safety or supervision of anybody partaking in activities, the only time he got up was to leave the aquapark and another teen staff member took over his position and yet again no supervision.
There were many kids and adults who struggled to get back onto the inflatables having fallen into the water and they had to be assisted by others on the aquapark, no assistance whatsoever was provided by the teen staff members.
So many people returned to the shore with blood streaming from lacerations to the feet from the velcro on the inflatables there was no medical assistance on the lagoon, I dread to think what would happen if serious medical attention was required.
My son came off the transfer boat, crying. I discovered that the teen who was operating the boat had accidentally hit him on the back of his head with his elbow whilst starting the boat (boat was overcrowded all crammed in) and did not even acknowledge it, an acknowledgement and apology would not have gone amiss here.
Showers and changing rooms are both tiny and filthy. The water in the bay was also filthy.
Overall, safety, supervision/management and cleanliness of Rosscarbery lagoon is absolutely shocking. This facility needs to take a look at Ballyhass activity centre to see how activities should be ran and staffed, we have attended recently and there were 3 members of staff on the aquapark supervising and assisting and one member of staff circling the waterpark on a paddleboard to ensure safety of participants
I left Rosscarbery lagoon with serious safety concerns and most certainly will not be returning.

A win win for parents and teenagers … Having two teenagers who are reluctant to go on holidays with their parents is a challenge but we could not recommend the Lagoon Activity Centre more - 1st day did water park and we were back a second day to race parents in kayaks across the lake. Really helpful and friendly staff who went along with the fun. Day topped off with pizzas in the sun . Two great days.

Our family of 7 had a fab time at the Lagoon. The teenagers loved the waterpark. The leaders Jake and Hannah were great fun and really helpful. We enjoyed our pedalboating. We also went kayaking. If you’ve been to the Waterpark and want to do the kayaking/ pedal boating too, you get 30% off those activities. We also got 10% off cos we were returning customers!
There is a great place to eat just next to the Lagoon. Jack’s. We got really tasty loaded fries for only €6 and they filled us up for ages.
In short, we had a fabulous family day out and everything we needed was on site!
