We visited here last Friday to do clay pigeon shooting and Archery for group of 9 of us. Great fun and well worth a visit. Joe and Pat were great looking after us and everyone really enjoyed the experience

My family spent two nights in Maynooth/Clane. The Air B&B included a brochure for Abbeyfield Farm and my daughter asked if we could do archery. I wasn't sure what to expect, but let me say, it was pretty epic. Daragh gave us an overview of how to use the bows and arrows and by the end of an hour, we were all experts thanks to his help and that of his young assistant who set up games and other competitions for us. We had a wonderful time and as a result are considering getting an archery set for our back yard. This is a fantastic place for families, groups or parties. Next time we are in Ireland, we will totally go back and try the clay pigeon shooting!!!
My daughter Fiona (age 12) wants to say, "It was very fun, and if you want to hit a bullseye every time listen to the instructions closely like my dad did, so you can win all of the games. And be sure to ask questions, because there was stuff I didn't know about that could have made me a better archer. Don't be shy! Everyone is really nice. At the end of it, I felt like Katniss Everdeen!"

Thank you Daragh & Grianne for an absolutely beautiful ride today, i can’t tell you how much I enjoyed it being out in such a big group, riding in the countryside. I was made to feel so welcome and most importantly I felt safe. My beautiful horse Hooch looked after me the entire time. My second time riding here and I can’t wait for the next time. A thoroughly outstanding exhilarating ride. They cater for all levels of riding, it’s an absolute MUST if you are here in Ireland.

Brought my 12 year old daughter here for an hour long horse riding session. She is an experienced rider and joined in with the group there. The staff were absolutely amazing with her and she loved every second of the experience. Booking was easy with Darragh and it was great value for money. We will most definitely be back soon.

Very rude on the phone. I was enquiring for my daughter to do horse riding lessons at 9:30pm. Mobile number I rang was very rude and said please look at the clock and hung up. No times stated on their website for opening hours. I know it was a bit late but no need for that attitude.

We travelled from Limerick for the trek after hearing amazing things and we weren’t disappointed. We had such an amazing experience from start to finish at abbeyfield. Darragh brought us on the trek and couldn’t have been more welcoming and encouraging… we left with the biggest smiles across our faces and haven’t stopped talking about it since!! Couldn’t recommend this highly enough!

Exceptional facility with lots of fun stuff to do with kids. We did air rifles and horse riding. Dara and his family are off the charts friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have made it a better experience. Great family day out!

Highly recommend Abbeyfield Farm. We did archery and shot clay pigeons with our teenagers. Alan was a great teacher and made the afternoon fun. We will be back.

When lockdown finally lifted in December, we decided to treat ourselves to a weekend away and push ourselves out of our comfort zone with some clay pigeon shooting. It was both of our first times.
We had a really great time. Our instructor was so patient with us (me especially given my lack of skill) and by the end of the session, we had both managed to shoot some birds. It's also a good activity to do on a rainy day as you are standing underneath a shelter for the shooting so don't let the Irish weather put you off.
We would definitely be back. Maybe next time we'll give the archery or air rifle shooting a try too. They also offer horse-riding.
The whole set-up is just very relaxed and down-to-earth. We assume it's a family business so we felt good supporting something local too.
Shout out to Darragh who was so helpful and super responsive with emails whilst organising our visit as well as arranging a voucher later.

Myself, boyfriend, brother and dad went to Abbeyfield farm to do the clay pigeon shooting. Having never been before, we were not sure what to expect, but even speaking to Darrah on the phone when we booked in reassured me.
We arrived to the beautiful farm grounds where we meet Darragh. He went through everything with us as a group and set us all up individually so as we would get the most out of the experience.
The equipment was fantastic and we had many different shooting challenges which meant we all got very competitive. I honestly can't recommend the experience enough. We really had so much fun and Darragh really got us into the swing of things quickly, and was great craic!
Planning our next visit already!
