This is in the northern part of the Lake District, which means it is less popular but just as beautiful. It is less crowded but has just as many wonderful walks and things to do and see.

This is a nice body of water however it is very hard to get to its banks. Not so easily accessible unfortunately. Could skip!

We stayed at a caravan site and we drove past the lake several times . The mountains and hills just add to the spectacular scenery.

Travelling from Keswick to Cockermouth you travel alongside Bassenthwaite Lake. There are places to stop and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this lake.

We were there just after the major snowfall. What a beautiful sight. So much to see and a calm area. Even saw a beautiful old Lancaster bomber being flown over the lake. Almost eye level. Very exciting

Hello, I'm sorry you have been misinformed, we didn't cycle round Bassenthwaite lake. Just had a brilliant stay at the Armathwaite Hall Hotel.
