My wife and I were celebrating 61 years of marriage, it was also her birthday. As we drove round the Lakes, we liked the scenery which gave us a feeling of elation and contentment.

We had sun, rain, snow,and hail but it didn't dampen the spirits of the walkers (not us of course) Most daffodils we have ever seen. The GALLERY craft and art center is really worth a visit - some beautiful items there.

This was a trip down memory lane for Isy my girlfriend who was born and bred in the area. Visited Scotby, Wetherall and the beautiful River Eden. Good couple of beers in the Wheatsheaf pub in Wetherall. Stunning countryside and not mobbed by tourists like...More
