Cayman's most-visited and perennially popular land-based attraction, Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter hosts more than 300,000 visitors each year. Conservation of sea turtles and other island wildlife with associated research and education are at the heart of the company's mission. The park is also a vital component of the country's economy, providing a world-class tourist attraction that is truly one-of-a-kind: the only institution in the world that successfully breeds green sea turtles, releases captive-bred sea turtles into the wild, and allows visitors to get "up close and personal" with sea turtles in various exhibits and supervised encounters. Local and Caribbean birds, marine predators, crocodile and other island wildlife are also featured in this Grand Cayman island favorite "must-see".

I've been fortunate to see many sea turtles while on a variety of boats and also had a red eared turtle for quite a while as a child/teenager. Just to be able to see the variety of turtles and the varying ages of sea turtles (mostly green sea turtles) is extraordinary. It seems some people make a huge deal of... More

I visited this place on a shore excursion while on a cruise and enjoyed. I was with my teenage son who loves animals, zoos, aquariums, and we both enjoyed the place. We enjoyed seeing the turtles, listening to the tour guide. However, the best part was the little water park in the back. We enjoyed swimming and coming down the... More

While enjoyable, not sure it was worth the cost. Basically the kids got to feed and hold turtles. Facilities were nicely maintained. Just was not the highlight of my trip but certainly nothing against it.

Visited the turtle farm for the 3rd time and will give them credit for continuing to enhance the experience each time. There were less turtles in the touch tanks compared to our last visit but they now let you wade into a couple of tanks to be able to grab them. Kids really loved it.

We spend 2 hours looking at turtles of all ages and sizes. It is fun and educational. We only took the $18 tour and it went well. We were present at feeding time and it was interesting. We saw a short educational movie in turtles, very well done. Staff was friendly for the most part. Good place for children also!

My daughter and I visited the Turtle center and fell in love with all of the turtles. We had so much fun learning about them and then eventually getting to hold a turtle. We both had such big smiles and fond memories of that day. I will cherish it forever and plan to return.

Seeing the sea turtles is wonderful, but they are all farm-raised. This is a turtle farm turned amusement park. While the facilities are pretty well-maintained, and swimming in the lagoon with the younger turtles was interesting, it wasn't worth the entry fee to get in. I wouldn't repeat the experience, and I wouldn't really recommend it to my friends.

Dear Randy B Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad that you thought that seeing the turtles was wonderful, and had an interesting time swimming with the turtles. You are right – none of our turtles in our snorkeling lagoon or in our “Touch Tanks” exhibits come from the wild –... More

Went with some little ones aged 2-11 + a bunch of adults and spent 45 min - I had been several times over the years + still enjoyed seeing the turtles and experiencing the joy through the children interacting with the small turtles.
