On July 5, 2020, we enjoyed exploring the Sculpture Forest in Singhampton. It was FULL of whimsical art created using many different materials over several years. There were surprises around every corner from fish swimming through the forest to angels looking down on you from high in the trees. We’re planning on visiting again this Spring because they have been busy during the winter adding new surprises, such as a giant seven foot woodpecker figure and a six foot high heeled shoe! At the end of your walk, be sure to have your picture taken on a bench beside a friendly giant frog, or leaning against a giant paintbrush. Our two very friendly hosts were Marion and Rick. Marion has been a professional artist her entire life. While she was known as the “The Clay Lady” when she taught in schools, her years of experience have enabled her to use a wide variety of materials when building her creations. Rick’s skills as a retired civil engineer and a master woodworker have also been key in creating their unique artwork. When they’re not creating art for their property, Marion and Rick make wonderful gift items in Studio 124. Marion has many beautiful clay creations available from bowls to fun figurines, while Rick makes wonderful wooden bowls, cutting boards and even BBQ cleaners. It is always best to call ahead before your visit since your friendly hosts enjoy playing tour guides, and their wonderful creations are spread right across their property.…

We visited Studio124 on our way to Collingwood. We were cheerfully greeted by Marion & Rick, the artisans, who gave us a tour of the fantastic studio and sculpture gardens. They offer many unique pieces in both clay and woodwork. Definitely worth a visit!

Thanks for the kind comments...we have had a number of garden enthusiasts and Probus clubs visit during the summer months as the foliage is prolific and lush. Art lovers have also found us and the garden art is whimsical and profound...a lovely walk through a forest path that features fascinating sculptures...interesting! Garden benches offer a nice respite if you wish to ponder the serene peace of the majestic forest. Then it’s up to the gallery/studio to oh and ah over the woodwork, pottery and sculptures displayed there. One of the most beautiful studios you will ever see...
