Too late in the season for us to see the falls running, but still took the short, beautiful walk to the base of the falls.

There was not much water at the falls perhaps since it is dry season. However, it is a nice short walk to the falls and easy for anyone to go, except for the last few yards which requires climbing over large rocks

This is a must stop and see! Although there was no water, it was a nice stop with restrooms that worked and a nice short walk to the falls with places to rest and sit.

Yes, there was a trickle of water near the bottom, and I guess at other times of the year you’ll see a lot more. But what’s always there is nature’s spectacular stone architecture with all its jaggedness that leaves you gaping. There’s lots of this...More

Since we visited in September, we did not expect to see much flow however, the past winter received much greater snowfall than most years so we were fortunate to have a pretty steady water flow.

At the time of year we visited there usually is no water flowing, but there was and it was quite a memorable sight. Something you have to see in person.

We went to Yosemite beginning of September. Yosemite as a whole is a beautiful park!! We hiked to the top of Nevada falls, personally, I think the upper Yosemite falls hike and view is well more worth it than Nevada falls. Not as touristy plus...More

I have been to Yosemite a number of times over the years and Yosemite Falls never fails to impress. 3 cataracts at a height of 2425 ft, fall to the valley floor and join the meandering river through the park. These falls, after a winter...More

Stay at the Yosemite View Lodge just outside the park in El Portal. When you go into the valley, park as close to, but NOT PAST, the Yosemite Valley Chapel. If you go past, the roads get jammed up. and it is about a 10... More

The lower falls is a short walk to the viewing area. He should have no problem with that. I think you have to hike to the top of the falls for the "upper," which would be too much. Park your car and take advantage of the... More
