Hayden Valley is on the Grand Loop Road between Canyon and Lake. There are many pullouts to stop at and take in the scenery and wildlife. It is a beautiful valley that stretches about as far as the eye can see. We only saw large...More

Depending when visiting whether you see any wildlife. Want to see Bison in August go to Lamar Valley. The Yellowstone winding through the valley is quite picturesque.

Saw more bison here than Lamar. Beautiful area, especially in the early morning. Nice for photos with or without beasts.

We witnessed a Bison Road Block in Hayden Valley. There were 100's of Bison and several crossing the road. One decided to sit on the road and even Park Rangers were unable to move him on!
