This is a fabulous place. You climb the volcano then relax in the crater afterward. I suggest to enjoy the crater afterward. It’s a beautiful setting....after our climb we enjoyed the varied landscape inside. We sat back and ate and relaxed after our climb.

A very beautiful and rewarding hike to the top where you can see magic views of Honolulu. It’s a hot, hectic hike but if you’re fit enough it’s definitely well worth it.

Diamond Head is a must visit / hike place while visiting Honolulu. It is a strenuous but short climb up to the top of the crater for some amazing views of Honolulu. Go early in the morning or late in afternoon to avoid the mid-day...More

The hike up to the top of Diamond Head was rigorous but worth it. The view was beautiful. The nice cool breeze once you reached the top was well needed. We sat at the top talking with a family from California for a little while...More

First tip, be super early as there is hardly any parking. We were lucky around 8 am we found the last spot and there is no nearby parking. Would recommend people arriving around 7 -730am at the latest. Found this hike really good for easy...More

Diamond Head hike is a must when in Honolulu. You must go early in the day to beat the heat! It took us about an hour to hike up to the top. The hike is very doable for all age and fitness levels. Our child...More

Looks more demanding of a hike than it actually is. Cant have been more than 45 mins up. I walked from Waikiki Beach to Diamond Head and that might have been a 45 min to an hour walk. The hike itself is not overly taxing...More

Beautiful view of the island. This is the one sight to see while visiting Oahu. There is a lot of walking but well worth it. Be there early morning if you want to avoid the crowd.

I did see kids with parents hiking Diamond Head. I did see people wearing shoes that is better worn at the shopping complex. To some it is a moderate hike, to some it is an easy hike. I guess just go if you happen to bring... More
