easy access to this trail, fully paved and large. Not too difficult, the views on top are amazing and worth the efforts.

Beautiful views. It’s mostly straight uphill but well paved and even. Not difficult if you are normally active. Go early because it gets more crowded. It’s a beautiful, peaceful hike. Highly recommend.

The views are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL from the top of this trail! It’s completely paved and has several lookout points with information plaques to learn along the way! Bring water and possibly a hat, as there are no real shade points on this trail. (Pro tip:...More

First let me start by saying I am an avid hiker and was excited to hike Hawaii. This was not a hike, it is a long hot walk up a paved trail. The black asphalt did not help the heat.

This was a last minute spontaneous hike because another of our plans in the area got cancelled. The views from the top are wonderful, you can even see some of the other islands. The hike has little to no shade and so expect to be...More

If you like to hike, this is for you! I went on a hot and sunny day and there were lots of people. Make sure you bring lots of water because you will need it!

Paid for the shuttle bus ride with go Oahu card. It was well worth it since we did a lot on the card. Recommended to research the activities since it may come with shuttle bus to some activities and paid admission and extra with others....More

We started our hike around 8am and it took about an hour round trip (including stopping to take photos). The path is paved and wide, which makes it easy to walk up. As there is little shade, I would recommend going early in the day...More

Out of the 6 hikes we did on 2 islands: My husband & I would recommend this one because of the view & easier hike. Skip Lanikai pillbox trail by Lanikai Beach. We think this view is better. Length of time spent here: 1.5 hours....More

I didn't uber on the island, but it was a moderate drive from waikiki... probably ~30 minutes. Might be more cost effective to rent a car if you are able.

I wouldn’t advise hiking to the tide pools. There isn’t a managed trail. If you want to see some tide pools, there is a pull off nearby between there and the Halona blowhole. You can walk right out to the beach area and see... More
