We took our friends from Seattle here. They were so impressed. Take the boat tour as well as a walk around the river. If you can stay on the river I recommend you do so.

We took one of the riverboat rides and discovered that people around the river walk area are friendly and gregarious. The area is clean and well lit compared to so many other cities. Throughly enjoyed our time there.

This is the place to go to get a feel for what it is like to be in Europe without the trip. There are venues for every flavor of food from steaks to Tex-Mex to ice cream. The river is situated below street level so...More

If you do nothing else...not even the Alamo, you must do the Riverwalk. It's unique and beautiful, especially at night! Stroll along and stop for some fantastic food, ice cream or drinks at any of the great restaurants along the water.

With the San Antonio river you get the best of both worlds. A bustling area full of restaurants and bars, and if you head south, an endless walking / biking / running trail that takes you out of the city to the Missions.

I really expected more according to the reviews but I found the river to be more of a creek. Sad to see the garbage floating around, you would think they would have people cleaning that up here and there but we never saw anyone collecting...More

Sooo much to do for couples and families. Ride the river boats for a little bit of history. The movie before seeing the Alamo to understand the history. Holidays are beautiful.

A beautiful way to spend an evening. Staying in a hotel on the river, going for a walk and finding a great restaurant. Just gorgeous.
