I call Old Town Albuquerque “Santa Fe light”. It is less crowded, less expensive, but also much less stores than Santa Fe. We enjoyed the stores, the music coming from the Native Americans in the plaza and the flute musician near one of the stores....More

There is adequate pay parking off Central. Do not try to park on the street. It is compact and easy to walk around. Nice people in the stores. Not pushy. Some unique items to buy.

We explored Old Town during our stay for the Balloon Fiesta. It was crowded and finding a place to park was difficult, but we enjoyed the shops and the music and dance in the square.

We enjoyed the continuous music in the plaza, shops, and food! I actually like it better than the Santa Fe Plaza.

Avoid this place on the weekends. It gets super busy. Parking is hard to find. Oldest church in New Mexico. Square is circled with gift shops and restaurants. Music in the square.

The Old town had great shopping from jewelry to art to souvenirs to clothing. The center square was beautiful with a grand gazebo but what was unique and memorable was the activities that took place like cultural folk dancing and gun fights. There was also...More
