Visited 10/4-6. Off season geat time to go, we almost had the place to ourselves. It had already snowed and the roads can be icy. Due to weather we didn't get to hike near Paradise Inn. Beautiful in rain but went back last day when...More

Lovely falls and lakes. You have to drive there and will get a map at entrance. Signals are weak in the park. Lovely day. Spend at least 4 hours there.

We’d been warned that crowds on a holiday weekend would make the park too crowded for an enjoyable day. Forecasts of clouds and drizzle also threatened to dampen spirits, but we packed rain gear and left Seattle at 5am to beat the crowds determined to...More

Something for everyone. Driving into Paradise was gorgeous at every turn. You will see waterfalls, views of the snow covered peak, gorges, rivers. The visit center has a nice giftshop, cafe, and a very interesting movie about the mountain volcano.

Wonderful National Park. Went through from south eastern entrance and up to sunrise. Some great hikes up there and the view of the mountain was excellent. Next day did a couple more hikes. Well worth the trip.

We stayed at Paradise Inn for 4 nights to see the park. We were able to visit all 4 visitor centers. I was able to get my Junior and Citizen ranger badges while I was there. A fun thing for this young-at-heart girl. The weather...More

Mount Rainier National Park is breathtaking and the scenery is amazing. So many beautiful places to hike, have a picnic or just take photos. We did the Skyline trail while there and it was amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Agree with previous answer. There is information about trails in NPS website and others. We had an idea what trails to hike and discussed with Park Ranger which was helpful as one of the trails had ice/snow and he... More
