Following the tour of the dam we made a trip through Boulder City based on the recommendation of our tour guide. Boulder City is a quaint little town with nice restuarant. While walking around this small town we came across this. Boulder City Museum. It...More

Having visited the Dam the day before we didn't pay the $20 for the Dam's visitors centre. But saved our bucks and went to the free small museum in the hotel in Boulder City, where we were staying. What a great surprise, small but very...More

We always look forward to this stop. We tour the museum stopping at new exhibits, talking with the volunteers and do a little shopping. The exhibits are interesting and well done. I always learn something new.

This place is charming and comfortable. It is old school, but it is very clean. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcomed and at home. The hotel has so many nice touches and little extras that make you want to...More

We stumbled upon this little free museum when we were exploring the city. It doesn't take a long time to walk through and it is just kind of a neat space to check out! I felt like it was actually a really cool extension of...More

Love small local museums and this little gem was much better than anticipated! Although it doesn’t have the depth of engineering background as the museum at the actual dam has, it does give a delightful overview. The single negative comment I have is for the...More

Nice little museum in the Boulder Dam Hotel. You get a feel for what it must have been like during the building of the dam. Don't miss this little gem.

I recommend doing the full Hoover Dam tour (going right down into the dam) and then checking out this excellent local museum. The hotel itself is a landmark too, but the displays have some great text material, based on the experiences of some of the...More

It was free when we went (Oct 2018) with a donation box at the end so be sure to bring cash to drop in! It was very informative and the kids loved it too.
