This place is really cool as to what they've done with it. And the views of the city from here are very awesome. Especially at night.

The 3 of us did not have much time left in our Seattle visit but we were happy we stopped at the Gas Works Park. Ample parking and lots of grass. Play area for kids was nice. Our favorite things were looking at the houseboats...More

The gas works part is set at the north end of Lake Union? And provides a wonderful panoramic view of downtown Seattle. There is a steady stream of seaplanes which take off and land on the lake for sightseers. The park is big enough to...More

We visited Gas Works Park on our recent visit to Seattle. It has some nice views of the city, not much to do.

The location merits a visit, no so much for the old rusting/iron equipment but for the peaceful surroundings of water and serenity. Don't expect to be entertained, but rather to sit and relax on a nice sunny day, enjoying the surrounding scenery.

If you're for a park with great views of the city I highly recommend a visit to Gas Works Park. The summer and early fall are great times to visit. If you go during the week, it will be easier to park.

This park is a very local site, with amazing views and a nice walk. This park is great for small children because of the nice playground and great for dogs because of the open grass space. If you go late winter and very early in...More

This is a pretty cool place to stop. Nice public park that used to be the former Seattle Gas Light Company. The remnants of the only remaining coal gasification plant in the US is here. There's a playground for kids (or us adults when the...More

Lounging here one afternoon was a highlight of our Seattle trip. We loved watching the hydroplanes land and take off. Easily the best view of the Seattle skyline!

No fences around the park so I don’t see why not. But as with all parks, be cautious at night. The park is very open area, not much to hide around so you should be able to see who is there. It goes dark around five at... More
