I'm not much of a mall person, but Chelsea Market is a top-notch experience of excellent restaurants and shops. We spent perhaps 3 hours there, including lunch and other nibbles, and would have gone back if we had more time in the city. We will...More
Definitely visit Chelsea market! Large amount of food stalls and the food is delicious! Not too expensive either and great for food allergies- I can't eat dairy and there was plenty of choice for dairy free/vegan.
We went expecting stalls of fruit & vegetables and other items for sale. This is an old wharehouse where small shops have been built including some selling prepared food. It is an interesting place to visit. We walked through one of the Homewares shops to...More

Came off the high line at 16th street and wandered around the area before going into the market.
An incredible market place full of interesting shops and eateries.

Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York
City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
