The shops are nice and easy to walk round. The highlight is the Vessel which you must visit. Free timed tickets are available and easy to get. Some lovely views from the top.

We made a reservation in advance & climbed the Vessel - amazing views, amazing structure. Along the Hudson River. Subway line is close by. New shopping center is very upscale. Lunch at Citarella - delicious.

Most of Hudson Yards is built on a platform above the Long Island Railroad yards feeding Penn Station. Architecturally it is breathtaking in its array of buildings, with the walking “sculpture” in the middle.
