This is one of NYC's finest parks (IMHO). It's centrally located in Manhattan, and it's a shady place to sit in the summer. There are always chairs available, and the public library is right next door (for clean restrooms, cooling if needed, etc), 5 min...More

This is a lovely green space amongst the greyness of the towers surrounding it. There were so many places to sit and take in the trees and flowers. There's a buzz around it too, so if you want to keep busy, lots of things going...More

Got lost and stumbled upon this beautiful park. Clean tables (plenty) some with checkers to play. Coffee shops and snack shops all located Within the park. Lots of shade. It was hard to believe that this park is in the middle of the city.

Stumbled across Bryant Park by accident when they had a food festival. Fantastic open space right in the middle of the city. Overlooked by the public library. Nice place to grab a coffee and sit and watch the world go by.

Next to the New York Public Library. I visited in the 1970s- was not good. Very pleasant now. Building a new ice rink. People playing ping pong, nice bakery and food stalls.

5 stars for Bryant park. Plenty of seating for a little rest, cup of coffee or lunch in the park. Check out their web site bryantpark.org! On this site you will find a calendar of events. Well worth the visit especially in December.
