We just happened to come across the star of India in the evening, and we watched the sunset from the ship before exploring it and the partnered submarine. It made for a beautiful and interesting night!

This place is definitely great for ship and boat enthusiasts who also enjoy a little bit of history. The Star of India admission gets you access to several other boats and a submarine docked in the same area. There is a lot of history to...More

Beautifully maintained historic ship. We paid for access to the group of ships/submarines at the same location. Worth the price

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit despite the difficult ladder type stairs which can be daunting for people a little unsteady on their feet. That aside, there is so much to see and with great photo opportunities from the main deck and a ticket which gives...More

An amazing ship. Lots of artifacts/displays with explanations of the history of the ship and the people that it transported and made it work. You get to walk where emigrants to New Zealand walked. Where canned salmon from Alaska was stored! Where tea from India...More

The Star of India is a must see for every sailor. It’s an experience that can’t be matched, stand underneath the yard arms and turn your imagination loose.

This is a beautiful old ship moored on the San Diego harbour. It was built in the Isle of Man more than 150 years ago and looks every bit as impressive as the day it was built.

this was a wonderful experience. There was a lot to see and be involved with. There were a lot of students learning about sailing. This is a big 1863 ship.

This incredible multi-sail boat sits right on San Diego's Harbor and is available for walking tours for less than $20US. It is most amazing to behold - a true sailing piece of workmanship from a bygone era, the 19th Century.
