So much to see and so easy to navigate. Boston does history right! Very easy to follow the red brick trail to historic sites that just take you to a special place in time.

Very easy to do parts of the trail, just be prepared for some hills. Start in the North End where Paul Revere's house is to the North Church and his statue. Since there is so much to see, I would suggest doing the Freedom Trail...More

Completed the Freedom Trail yesterday, which was awesome. Boston is such a beautiful city, steeped in history and stories. Just beware, it says it’s 2.5 miles long .... we did more than 7 miles, and hardly strayed from the route at all .... but don’t...More

Follow the Freedom Trail and you see pretty much most of Boston and what it has to offer. We used an app not surprisingly called 'The Freedom Trail' ( a couple of dollars / pounds to buy) and it was really good, informative and helpful....More

We walked around on our own, going via various other places we wanted to go - Harbour Walk, weekend market etc - I find escorted tours a bit too dramatic and over-egged. It links some wonderful parts of Boston, along with some of the most...More

3 miles following the red brick road of history. A journey well spent to appreciate how important Bostonians were to shaping the future of this great country. In truth, when you are from the UK, you have to swallow a little at the acts of...More

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

We did not use a tour company. Maps are everywhere and it's all just a nice walk. There are a couple of places that charge for admittance but you don't have to go in if you don't want to pay.
