Nice area for staying in hotel, we had the tram stops outside our hotel which is in Powell st, and this is the area for shopping, you do see many homeless people in San Fransico, this city is very expensive.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in San Francisco. From here you can ride the iconic cable cars which ends at Fisherman's wharf. Union square is also within the area. Lots of shopping areas and restaurants.
