The Conservatory is a lovely jewel in Golden Gate Park. I enjoy flower photography and have visited quite a few botanic gardens across the US. The collection at the Conservatory is quite varied, well curated and maintained. The place itself is quite small, so it...More

Every inch of the Conservatory is pack with beautiful plants. I especially loved the tropical flowers. One of the staff shared the secret for how to grow bromeliads in any environment.

Hot and humid conditions in most of the conservatory is understandable for the plants, so be ready for the conditions. Not really a huge amount of colorful flowers - mainly greenery when we went, although the lily pads were impressive due to their size. Could...More

Like walking through a tropical rain forest...there are hundreds of flowers here, many types of orchids, waterlilies, other rare and endangered plants and flowers. A great place for a little serenity and relaxation.

Was just strolling through the park today and came across this stunning building. As we approached we saw a team of about x12 gardeners tending to the exterior plants and displays. It’s immaculate. It was a pretty hot day so you may wonder why we...More

This often overlooked gem was constructed over 140 years ago and is an architectural marvel as a Victorian greenhouse originally assembled as a kit conservatory. The Highland Tropics Gallery house 30+ varieties of exotic orchids.
