An excellent place to visit when your in San Francisco. Look around the many shops and restaurants. The fresh cooked seafood is excellent.

Fisherman’s wharf is a very touristic part of San Francisco. It offers numerous attractions: the aquarium, the boats to Elcatraz, the sea lions dock as well as many shops and restaurants. It can get very busy during the weekends but is a fun place to...More

Lots of different restaurants and food stalls at the weekend , very crowded but probably worth a visit , some of the areas are a little run down and maybe not everyone’s cup of tea

Fisherman's Wharf is iconic but it seems to have lost it's charm over the years. While it is definitely a place to visit, the wharf area itself is really nothing but an outlet for kerbside food stalls and souvenir shops. Gone is the Carnation Restaurant,...More

So you got to take a stroll around Fisherman’s wharf, lots of places to eat, shops to shop in and entertainment to take in. Dancers, musicians, artists. Make sure you head down to this part of San Francisco.

Be careful parking in the lot right across from Fisherman's wharf. They will scam you by saying it's one price and then when you return and put your ticket in kiosk to pay it was 8 dollars more then it should have been. They knew...More

Lots of places to eat, drink, shop and see. Very festive. Issues: No beggars, feces or homeless sleeping on the sidewalk. Wasn't planning on visiting anything outside of the wharf area. Locals talk bad about food and drink on the wharf, but they keep electing...More

Okay, it's super touristy-- but it's fun and there are plenty of places to eat and drink and shop, so just have some fun. I live in Florida so tourist areas aren't all that weird to me...

We were there mid June. It was busy, but still had great views of Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge, and the sea lions. Shops were full of people so crowding was an issue, but only slight.
