Since 1873, cable cars have run up and down the hilly city, though after the 1950s, these cars have been kept in operation more out of historic nostalgia. Seventeen miles of track remain and have been deemed a historical landmark.

We downloaded the app and got a multi day pass. At $7 per trip, it quickly more than pays for itself and you can use the app on Subways and buses. The cars are clean and the conductors watch for your safety, reminding you to...More

One of San Francisco’s well known symbols. It’s a fun ride. We took the cable car in California street. Ticket is 7$ per ride .

Canny beer with snacks at happy hour but as always what you see as the price isn’t what you end up paying

Great way to get around. We rode at night and the city was beautiful. Our car broke down and we got a push. Interesting.

Used a lot by tourists. These cars cover a lot of areas of San Francisco so you have good but slow transportation. Again like other things in a big city this is a must do at least 1 time in your life

Something to tick off the bucket list but they are very expensive for the journey unless you are staying on.

The Cable Car is so much fun, there is nothing like it in the world. You just jump on it and hold on for dear life. It's a real thrill.

Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the
city and is home to amazing architecture and views.
The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for
those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be
rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful
architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated
with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all
were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that

The 1 day visitor pass is $12 for adults. If you do the one trip it's $7, but as soon as you exit the car, then you have to buy another trip.
