The Laie Hawaii Temple is a beautiful building and the temple complex area is well-manicured. The visitor center has a nice museum, and the short introductory film is informative. But, as with other Mormon temples, entry to the inside the temple is restricted to people...More

We are not Mormons, but we still loved the beauty of the building and the immaculate grounds. We went inside the visitors center and saw a 6 minute movie on how the building came about. The hostesses were pleasant and there was no pressure religiously.

Such a beautiful place to experience peace, beauty & amazing people. You don’t need a tour guide, just a rental car or bus. Tours are free & if your at the PCC there’s free tours included.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the volunteers were great. So glad we took the time to visit, since it is one of the highlights of an already amazing vacation.

This is only the second LDS Temple I’ve come across, the first being in Salt Lake City. The drive up to it is impressive by day or by night. We did not go inside for the sake of time, but I believe you can if...More

I try to visit the temple every time I travel, and this was no exception. Be sure to experience the Visitors Center and tour the grounds, but as members ourselves, we also got to attend a session inside. Such a great experience!

There is a free shuttle that will take you to the temple grounds and back to PCC. Ask at the PCC entrance
