Kailua Beach was a beautiful location. Nice clean beach. We were visiting friends in the area and walked to the beach so I can’t talk to parking. Finding the beach was fairly easy.

Kailua beach is the best beach on the windward side. It has great swimming because of the minimum waves, the water is always great, never dirty or too cold. There are a lot of benches to sit with your family, or grassy areas to have...More

Parking is terrible, so get here early. The bathrooms are a little on the gross side. The beach itself is beautiful with clear blue water. Enjoyed snorkeling here for a couple of hours, but got tired of seeing others legs scaring fish off, so we...More

Beautiful beach! One of the nicest anywhere… Parking a bit limited at times. Good shaded area on the beach if you want to get out of the sun.

If you have only 1 day for the beach in Oahu like us, I highly recommend Kailua Beach. It just 50min driving from Waikiki. If the first parking area is full, keep driving further until you see public bathrooms, more parking lots there. The long...More

This is a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise waters. Feels like paradise. Unlike the neighboring Lanikai Beach, there is a parking lot here. We went around 3pm a couple times and were able to get a parking spot. Beautiful place to have a relaxing...More

We traveled around Oahu, and stopped at this beach. It was a svorchingly hot day, and we arrived in the mid afternoon. Gorgeous beach, with a few cafes nearby. Remember your sunblock and hat. Hot hot hot in the middle of summer. Parking can be...More

This is a beautiful beach frequented by walkers, joggers, and lots of dogs. During our time there the water was very rough and because of winds there were many Portuguese man of war jelly fish. Normally the beach is calm and swimming us good. Despite...More

My wife & I spent a week on Oahu & found Kailua beach on our last full day there. Wish we had found it on day 1! So beautiful & peaceful. Not over-run by tourist. Worth the drive from wherever you are staying. 👍🏻👍🏻

Not at the beach. There are no beach concessions at all, so make sure you bring your own food and drinks.
