Due to the hordes of people, there was no room for the turtles! if you drive anti -clockwise around the Island the parking is on the opposite side of the road, which makes getting back on the road difficult to due to traffic congestion.
We went to this beach early in the morning but didn't see any sea turtles. I later read online that it is best to come around 11am - 2pm to see the turtles. We nevertheless had a relaxing visit at the beach and enjoyed the...More

Laniakea beach is located on the North Shore of Oahu.
We hired a car, but many different tour companies do day trips there.
The beach is very nice to swim at.
You can stand on the shore and see turtles swimming in the shallows.

The best time to see turtles is early in the day before most people arrive at the beech. I suggest heading there at sunrise for the best chance at seeing turtles. Having said that, we did see a turtle on the beech at 4pm with all sorts of people around. Have fun and happy turtle watching.
