This is a fun place to walk, shop, dine, and people watch (especially at night). Dining at the Banyan tree end seemed slightly less crowded. There is even a movie theatre at that same end. It’s definitely a must do activity while in West Maui.

We always go to Lahaina - it is the heart of Maui. Go for the history and the atmosphere - and the banyan trees!

There are tons of shops and plenty of things to do on Front St. if you drive down park in the public parking lot across from the elementary school. The place turns into a mob scene for dinner time or if a cruise ship docks

We had a wonderful time today browsing all the shops. Everything from art to toys, ice cream, pizza, clothing, jewelry. Of course very touristy but still fun.

Lots of shops and restaurants to view and browse. Very Artsy area with a ton of galleries. Close to the Marina and waterfront with surfers out in the afternoon when the wind picks up.

We had a rental car. Couldn't find a free parking spot near Front Street in Lahaina so gave up and paid $15 to park in a lot for a few hours.
