To stand in this area and imagine what happened, is incredibly moving. Such a sad place to visit irrespective of how old you are.

Visiting Dealey Plaza pairs well with seeing the 6th Floor Museum. We went through the museum first, them went down to Plaza. That helped put things in perspective on the plaza. Also provides a great view of the old courthouse.

The whole area is great to walk around and see the history. It is rare that you can just walk at your own pace. Would recommend!

Visiting the area is similar to walking through history. Area is relatively the same even after many years have passed. I watched the assassination on YouTube and then followed the path on my own. Surreal

You could certainly walk the plaza in the evening as it is an open public area, you just couldn't visit the excellent museum at the book depository.
