Amazing place to visit. Worth the drive and short hike. Be sure to wear your swimming suit so you can enjoy swimming/soaking in the waters. People were climbing up the rocks on the side of the waterfall and jumping in.

Gorgeous! But have time to spend a full day here because after you take that drive you won't want to get back in the car for a while! Also have good footwear because the smooth rocks are lovely to lay or picnic on but are...More

We loved the Big Rock Falls. Spent an hour swimming, and jumping from the rock as the pool is really deep. We drove ourselves, Road is unpaved and bumpy. Parking at the top. Hike down is about 10 stories of steps.

Don't miss a chance to swim in the crystal clear water at Big Rock Falls! You can hike the trail or take a leisurely horseback ride.

Big Rock Falls is beautiful. There weren't many people there when we went, so we had almost the entire place to ourselves.

We stopped here for a swim on the was back from Caracol and it was the perfect way to end the day. Follow the signs for Gaïa and it's pretty well marked. You walk down some stairs from the parking lot and the falls are...More

The only thing knocking this down a notch from 5 stars to 4 was the horrible road leading to this. I realize that this is not a sanctioned tourist spot, so perhaps there’s no incentive for paving a better road. But if you want to...More

We stayed at Blancaneaux Lodge and did the horseback riding tour to the falls. The tour itself was very peaceful and beautiful. You can see for miles in the sunlight and listen to the different bits of nature come to life around you. Once you...More

I didn't hear as much about Big Rock Falls as I did Rio on Pools, but I have to say, I like this spot better. It's a gigantic swimming hole beneath a great waterfall. there were some people jumping off the rock ledges near the...More
