We didn't play in the water and the fountains were not flowing but we enjoyed the shade and watching the families play on the steps and in the wading pool.

This is where the Iron Man races are staged and where the swim portion of the race ends if you're into that. Park is pretty and offers some nice pedestrian walkways downtown. Very pretty lit up at night.
