Our guide Alfred "Al" Ray took us along the streets & to the supposedly dungeon & tried to pass off some really dry humor. There were only 2 sites visited that were worth any attention at all. It was the least interesting or enjoyable event...More

The Old Jail building in Charleston is creepy during the day and even more so at night. Our guide was a lot of fun and did a great job making some not-so-great moments in history interesting. The only reason I didn't give this tour 5...More

It was an excellent tour and gave us a great overview of the history of Charleston...and a chance to get grounded before exploring the city.

Our group joined the tour on Sunday and loved our guide. She assembled a beautiful platter of history and food, knowledgeably answered questions and provided a rich dish of flavors and stories for us to savor. Highly recommend this tour.

2 hours was a ideal length for the tour. Sara was a great guide! I would do the Uptown Tour also if time allows.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Old Charleston Jail Tour. We went to the 11:30 pm tour, to help with the creepiness, and had an excellent time. The guide was very knowledgeable and was very engaging. I highly recommend this tour.

We had someone in a wheelchair and although she did manage to climb the steps at the battery on her own clearly it was an ordeal. We could have simply entered from another point and she would have been fine.
